Tennis team loses close match to Clio

The tennis team lost to Clio on April 6 at home 5-3.

For the first time in four years, there were five matches that went into a third set, three of which were won by the Hornets.

Junior Lindsay Nofs, No. 1 singles, won in the third set with a score of 3-6, 6-4, 6-3.

At No. 4 singles, junior Alysa Figgins defeated her opponent in the third set 6-4, 5-7, 6-3.

Juniors Jasmine Patrick and Kelsie Rose, No. 1 doubles, also won their match in the third set 7-6, 5-7, 6-3.

Rose was pleased with the results of her match.

“Even though the match was very long and competitive, my partner and I pulled through to win,” Rose said.

The team’s next match is at home April 7 against Brandon.
