The tennis team swept Flint Southwestern Academy on Friday, May 13.

The tennis team won against Southwestern Academy 8-0 on Friday, May 13.

The Hornets completed an eight-flight sweep for the first time in six seasons since beating Mt. Morris in a sweep in 2010.

At No. 3 singles, senior Alysa Figgins finished with the highest win total since 2010, with an 8-5 dual season record.

Despite her success, Figgins was disappointed with her match record.

“I feel like I could have done a lot better,” Figgins said. “It was just really disappointing that I did not win matches that I felt like I could have won.”

This was the final home match for the seniors.

The Hornet’s next match is at Holly for the MHSAA Regional Tournament on Thursday, May 19.
