Tennis takes third at Swartz Creek quad

The tennis team took third place with 5 points at the Swartz Creek quad tournament on May 2.

Midland won with a total of 15 wins, Swartz Creek took second with 8, and Davison finished last with 4.

No. 2 doubles junior Aysia Booth and sophomore Emily Harper took second in their flight.

Juniors Kayla Smith and Nadia Koontz, at No. 4 doubles, also took second place in their flight.

Singles players that took third place in their flight were juniors Lindsay Nofs, at No. 1, and Alyssa Figgins, at No. 4.

“I thought that I played very well,” Nofs said. “I was excited to place third overall in my flight.”

Junior Jordan Gohs and sophomore Bree Rosenbum, at No. 3 doubles, also finished in third place.

The Hornets next match is at home on May 5 against Clio.
