Softball sweeps Carman-Ainsworth

The softball team was victorious in its season opener against Carman-Ainsworth on Thursday, April 4.
The Hornets swept the Cavaliers 26-0 in the first game and claimed the second game 18-0.
Senior Isabelle Easton started her final season strong, hitting two home runs.
Junior Alexis Echols said the victory reasserts the team’s confidence.
“It gives us more confidence, and I trust all of my team a lot,” Echols said.
Echols said she is expecting a successful season.
“We all know our roles and we (are) playing them well,” Echols said. “Yeah, we might need to tweak a few things. But with this team and our mindsets, I believe anything is possible.”
The Hornets will compete next against Lake Fenton at home Monday, April 8.
