The golf team lost to Fenton 177-150 on April 29.

The Hornets were led by senior Evan Flood, who had 42 strokes.

Sophomore Connor Vansteenburg tied with junior Tyler Phipps with a 44 for Kearsley’s second best scores.

The Tigers top players were senior John Lloyd shooting a 37 and sophomore Patrick Conroy, finishing one stroke behind Lloyd.

Coach Andy Nester was impressed with Fenton’s play.

“Fenton played exceptionally well. It was a good example of four solid scorers coming together,” Nester said. “Our squad was lacking one member and are anxious to redeem themselves against Linden.”

The Hornets next event is April 30 at home against Linden.
