The tennis team played host to Brandon on Wednesday, May 3, losing 8-0.

Being the last home match of the season, it was senior night for the Hornets.

A youthful team, seniors Bree Rosenbum and Hannah Brackin were the only two members of the team to be honored.

Rosenbum has been on the team for three years and had great success last year.

In 2016, she paired up with alumna Jordan Gohs to win the Lapeer Quad Tournament.

Brackin, who has been on the team for two years, ended the 2016 season fifth in her singles flight.

Sophomore Stephanie Lane, another member of the team, learned a lot from both Rosenbum and Brackin.

“I will greatly miss both of them,” Lane said. “I will really miss Bree’s enthusiasm and Hannah’s willingness to make me a better player.”

But the season is not over yet. The Hornets play next in the Owosso quad match Saturday, May 6.
