Boys’ bowling beats Brandon for 10th win

The boys’ bowling team bested Brandon 22-8 on Feb. 7.

Kearsley took baker points, 6-4, despite only taking the baker series by five pins.

They then won the individual games 16-4.

The Hornets had only three individual games over 200 but made the most of them.

Senior Brandon Richard shot a 234 in his second individual game, beating a 166 from Brandon’s Tyler Page.

Junior Chad Stephen won his first individual game 289-193.

Stephen already holds the second highest scratch series in the Flint Metro League this season, and now holds the third highest scratch game.

The Hornets boast the highest average pins per game in the league with 1,021 pins per game.

The next highest boys’ average is Swartz Creek, with an even 1,000 pins per game.

Kearsley raised its record to 10-3, tying Swartz Creek for second in the league.

The Hornets’ next match is against Clio on Feb. 14.
