Auditions for the school’s version of “Macbeth” will be held Tuesday, Nov. 3.

Auditions for the upcoming school play, “Macbeth: A Comedy” will be held in the school auditorium on Tuesday, Nov. 3.

The auditions will be held after school from 2:30 p.m. until 5 p.m.

Mr. John Hall, theater director, hopes that many students will audition for the upcoming play.

“We are looking for students who have theater experience as well as students who are willing to put in lots of time and effort into creating yet another Kearsley High School theater success,” Hall said.

Each audition will be under five minutes, so students are free to leave right after they audition.

Students will have to read from the script, recite a memorized monologue ranging from 15 to 30 seconds, sing a short song such as “Happy Birthday,” and be prepared for a few questions about themselves and their theater experience.

Students who want to help out with the play, such as creating costumes or doing hair and makeup are more than welcome to talk to Hall about it.

Roles will be chosen and then posted by Thursday, Nov. 5

Rehearsals will begin Monday, Nov. 9. They will be held daily from 3-5 p.m.in the auditorium.

Students with lead roles will be required to attend every rehearsal.

Tentative performance dates are Jan. 14, 15, and 16.
