Softball defeats Swartz Creek twice in doubleheader
The softball team won twice in a doubleheader at home against Swartz Creek on April 30, winning game one 6-4 and the nightcap 11-1.
The first game was back and forth between winning and tying, but, due to freshman Kaitlyn Foco hitting a home run, the Hornets were able to win the game.
In the second game, the the Hornets mercied Swartz Creek.
Junior Sydney Ouellette pitched in both games, resulting in 19 innings pitched for the twin bill victories.
“I’m very sore, but it was fun knowing we battled it out and ended with two wins,” Ouellette said.
