Due to the weather, Kearsley baseball will have a late start this spring.

The Hornets were scheduled to play at Powers Catholic High School on March 26.

But the game was canceled because of poor weather.

Junior Liam Grathoff expressed his disappointment with the weather, but has high hopes for the baseball team.

“I am beyond anxious for the season to get started,” Grathoff said. “We’ve been working extremely hard and in result, we have high hopes.

“It was disappointing hearing the game got cancelled but it just gives us more time to prepare for Lapeer and Davison upcoming next week. Our team is really getting together as one, and we can’t wait to get started.”

The Hornets play at Lapeer on March 30.
