Girls’ basketball falls to Clio

Junior Michaella Ford led the team with six points at home against Clio on Feb. 27.

The girls’ basketball team fell to Clio 59-22 on Feb. 27 at home.

The Mustangs were quick to take the lead, scoring 13 points in the first quarter, compared to the three scored by the Hornets.

The second quarter was no better, the Hornets adding nine points, while Clio added 23.

Junior Michaella Ford was the top scorer for the Hornets with six points.

Juniors Karmen Bishoff, Diane Bond, and Carryn White, along with sophomore Brittney Dick, chipped in three points apiece.

The loss put Kearsley’s record at 2-18 overall, 0-14 in the league.
