KBH United claims league title in a scoring festival

The hockey team celebrates its league championship after beating Flushing 8-0 on Feb. 18.

KBH United clinched the Flint Metro League title with a domineering performance.

The hockey team, combined with players from Kearsley, Brandon, and Holly, beat Flushing 8-0 at Perani Arena on Feb. 18, with the game ending by mercy rule.

Senior Shawn Larsen led the team, scoring five goals.

Four other players contributed goals to the final score. They were junior Kross Kenny, Holly senior Nate Flanagan, and Holly junior Jesse Zorn.

Several players assisted goals.

Those with two assists apiece were senior Steven Niles, Brandon junior Makenzie Bolton, Flanagan, and Zorn.

Players with one assist were senior Tom Goye, Larsen, and Kenny.

In the net, sophomore goalie Connor Martin, from Holly, preserved the shutout, making 24 saves.

Larsen has made over 30 goals in the duration of the season.

The team worked hard for the win and received the league championship trophy after the game.

KBH United’s league record stands at 4-1-1, and this Metro League title is theĀ first since sharing a league title three years ago.
