Mustangs trot past baseball team

The baseball team was defeated by the Clio Mustangs on Wednesday, April 12 in both games of a doubleheader.

Despite a complete game only allowing two hits from junior Dustin Bennett, the Hornets fell to the Mustangs 3-0 in the first game.

Leading the way was sophomore Ethan Livingston, having three hits.

The Hornets also lost the second game 9-2.

Freshman Kody Easton was the starting pitcher for Kearsley during the second game.

Mr. Chad Langworthy, Board of Education member, assists the team and is pleased with the team’s effort. He thinks the Hornets will continue to improve.

“Considering the amount of practice time we have spent outside, I think the boys did great, and we will continue to see improvement,” Langworthy said.
