Former One Direction member Niall Horan released his first solo album in late October.

The album, “Flicker,” contains 13 original tracks along with two acoustic versions of songs “Flicker” and “On the Loose.”

Horan is known by fans as the goofy, blond-haired lad from the world famous boy band, One Direction.

The band went on hiatus in 2016 and since then each member has gone in different directions and has focused on their own individual style of music.

Horan has decided to produce music for the pop genre and is planning a tour for 2018 with country artist Maren Morris.

Most of the tracks on “Flicker” have a slower tempo and each one is a love song.

The first two singles from the album, “This Town” and “Slow Hands,” have gained international success.

“This Town” hit No. 9 on the U.K. Singles Chart and No. 20 in the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. Similarly, “Slow hands” peaked at No. 11 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 a few months later.

Since One Direction announced their break over a year ago, Horan has focused on taking his newfound free time to relax. He’s been seen on social media playing golf and hanging with friends, and he has just recently made his solo career a major part of his public life.

Horan has been working on his debut album since March 2016, when it was announced that he had signed a contract with Capitol Records.

Every song was penned by Horan, along with a few other professional songwriters. Horan sings all lead vocals and plays accompanying guitar on each track.

As for solo performances, Horan has gained some experience. He performed his first single, “This Town,” at the 2016 American Music Awards. He continued to promote his new solo music on shows like “Ellen” and “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”

The album as a whole has experienced great success internationally, debuting at No.1 in Ireland (Horan’s home country) and the Netherlands.

The album has gradually been climbing the Billboard 200 chart and is only the tip of the iceberg for Horan as he explores the music industry on his own.
