“Universal Studios Hollywood” was built to feel like the set of beloved movies.

Universal Studios Hollywood in Orlando, Fla., gives visitors a wonderful chance to step into their favorite movies and transform into the fictional characters they adore.

They can be a wizard like Harry Potter, a member of the Whoville community, or a part of the Simpson family. They can fight crime with Marvel superheroes, visit Bikini Bottom, and even join Jimmy Fallon on a race through New York City.

Much of the park is set up like a Hollywood movie set.

As they walk down the streets of Universal Studios Hollywood, guests can feel the movie magic that comes with the park’s attention to detail.

The theme park houses many rides that allow visitors to explore the worlds of their favorite films.

These rides include “The Incredible Hulk Coaster,” “Despicable Me Minion Mayhem,” and “Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit.”

Some rides like “Despicable Me Minion Mayhem” take advantage of modern technology by using simulators to make the ride seem more realistic.

Kearsley alumna Samantha Miller enjoyed the chance to use the parks’ simulators.

By using special effects like splashes of water and bursts of hot air, rides are guaranteed to provide an experience unlike any other.

“It’s not something you get to experience every day. It was really cool,” Miller said.

One of the most popular sections of the park is “The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.”

Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry educates young wizards from all across Europe.

The “Harry Potter” section of the park has many rides, shops, and restaurants that are featured in the books and films.

Two of the rides use many special effects to keep riders surprised.

“Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey” flies riders through the grounds of Hogwarts as they try to get down to the quidditch pitch.

In order to meet Harry, Ron, and Hermione outside, riders have to escape a fire-breathing dragon, dementors, and giant spiders in the Forbidden Forest.

“Flight of the Hippogriff” is a short rollercoaster that gives fans the experience of riding Hagrid’s favorite pet, Buckbeak the Hippogriff.

“E.T. Adventure” gives riders the chance to help save the home planet of E.T.

“Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts” allows visitors to travel through Gringotts, the bank of the Wizarding World.

To get out of the bank, people on the ride have to go head to head with dark witch Bellatrix Lestrange and Lord Voldemort himself.

Fans of the “Harry Potter” franchise are also able to buy replicas of props from the book and movies.

They can visit Ollivander’s to purchase a wand in Diagon Alley and peruse other shops to buy quills, robes, and all other magical necessities in the village of Hogsmeade.

Junior Tyler Gronauer enjoyed visiting the Wizarding World.

“It was like I was a part of the actual movie,” Gronauer said. “The attention to detail is ridiculous.”

Universal Studios Hollywood also gives guests a chance to transport E.T. back to his home planet and save all of his alien friends on the ride “E.T. Adventure.”

Fans hop on the ride, which is a bike with long handlebars and a handbasket, and take a journey from Earth to E.T.’s galactic origin.

After bringing E.T. home, guests get to tour the planet and receive thanks from all the aliens who also call the planet their home.

The theme park portrays other popular movies like “Back to the Future,” “Rocky,” and “Men in Black.”

Park visitors may see some familiar faces at Universal Studios Hollywood.

As they walk through the park, guests can get a picture with Doc Brown’s time-traveling DeLorean, Adrian’s Pet Shop from “Rocky,” and the men in black who protect the Earth from dangerous aliens.

The Delorean makes it possible for Marty McFly and Doc Brown to travel in time.

There are many places to eat at the park as well. There are sit down restaurants like “NBC Sports Grill & Brew,” “Leaky Cauldron,” and “The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium & Savory Feast Kitchen.”

If visitors are in a hurry, they can grab a quick bite at “Bumblebee Man’s Taco Truck,” “Lard Lad Donuts,” or “Florean Fortescue’s Ice-Cream Parlour.”

The park has many interactive and unique things to do that can fill an entire day and entertain the whole family.
