Mrs. Wolf is a kind and caring art teacher at Kearsley High School. Mrs. Wolf has a husband and one son who will soon be 14. In her free time she loves to spend time with her family, read, exercise, travel, go to concerts, and go to any Michigan State or Notre Dame event that she can attend. Due to her sweet and caring nature she bonds with many of the students at Kearsley High School.
When I first met Mrs. Wolf I thought that she looked very approachable and helpful. Once I talked to her for the first time, I realized how nice of a person she is. She is always so positive and in the best mood.
Mrs. Wolf’s main goal teaching at Kearsley High School is to include every kid and unlock their creative potential.
“My favorite thing about teaching is you kids! I love watching the creativity that happens in the art room. Plus, you are a lot of fun and quite entertaining.” exclaimed Wolf.
Mrs. Wolf has been teaching at Kearsley for 24 years! She knew she wanted to be a teacher because she loved to work with young people. When she was a teenager she taught swim lessons to little kids and she enjoyed the learning process. After college she taught fitness classes to patients with heart problems, and watching the impact she made on people brought her lots of joy. This helped her confirm that she would like to be a teacher.
Mrs. Wolf loves to help her students when they are trying to learn new art skills. She happily will assisist any student struggling with anything from drawing to making ceramic pots. She uses lots of resources to help her come up with project ideas.
“Mrs. Wolf’s class is my favorite class because it’s so much fun and Mrs. Wolf is always very helpful.” explained senior Kadence Streeter.
Three values that are important to Mrs. Wolf are being present, flexible, and understanding. When I asked her why these qualities were so important to her she told me that you will never know what another person is going through and you never know what they might need at that time.
Teaching has impacted Mrs. Wolf’s life in so many different ways. It has taught her a lot about working with different types of people and all with different backgrounds.
“Teaching has made me a better, stronger, and more compassionate person.” Wolf expressed.

One of Mrs. Wolf’s biggest role models in life was her 11th grade English teacher, Mary Ehrlich. She taught her the importance of caring about students and giving them the mindset that they can do anything that they put their mind to. She is a big part of the reason Mrs. Wolf decided to go into teaching. Mrs. Wolf values her teachings so much and tries to incorporate them into her classroom to make sure every child feels loved and cared for.
One thing about Mrs. Wolf is she is always playing music in her classroom. She has a wide range of music that she likes to listen to, including 80s/90s jams and classic rock. She loves to play music in her class because it changes the environment and it is a stress reliever to her. She also likes to expose kids to different kinds of music.
The only thing Mrs. Wolf seems to love more than teaching is spending time with her family. She loves to go to all of her sons baseball games, as well as go to Traverse city with her family. Her favorite thing to do in the summer is to go to the beach!
At the end of the day, Mrs. Wolf hopes that she can make a difference at Kearsley and make an impact on every child that she meets.
