In their second game of the season, the soccer team took down Carman-Ainsworth on March 30 with a final score of 8-0.

Seniors Sydney Owens and Lauren Dellaposta, along with sophomore Lexi Kelley, scored two goals apiece.

Coach Marshall Paterson was pleased with the way his team played, despite the loss to Birch Run in its opening game.

“When the mercy rule comes into play, I always look to our girls to be respectful and not over-celebrate, but it was me who was cheering the last goal, ” Paterson said. “It was everything we aspire to be as a soccer team, passing on the ground to a fine finish.

The Hornets are scheduled to play their next game on April 1 at Lake Fenton at 4:30 p.m.
