The soccer team lost to Birch Run at home 1-0 in their first game of the season on March 25.

The Hornets played a tight game but, at the last minute, Birch Run was able to push through their defense and score the first and only goal.

Senior Lillie Campeau, center midfielder, felt that the team has some room to improve.

Campeau said, “We need to work on keeping in shape and staying in our positions.”

However, she does feel that the team will get better throughout the season, especially since this was their first time really playing as a team.

The team is scheduled to play at Carman-Ainsworth  on March 30.
