World cup arena soccer will be kicking off at the the Perani Arena and Event Center near the end of March.

The games will be March 21-29 all around the United States and Canada. Flint and Genesse County are one of nine sites across the country chosen to host the games.

Each team will play with six players per side.

Mr. Jeremy Torrey, Perani Arena and Event Center general manager, is excited to host the 2015 World Minifootball Federation Arena Soccer World Cup in Flint.

“It’s truly an honor to have the opportunity to host a world-class, international event like this at Perani Arena,” Torrey said.

General admission is $10, $15 for reserved tickets. There will be $2 off the general and reserved tickets for groups with 10 or more people.

On nights that there are double-header games, one ticket will count for both games.

As a combination package, fans will receive the quarterfinal game for free with the purchase of the first two days of games.

March 24 will be a doubleheader with Russia vs. Serbia at 6 p.m. and at 7:30 p.m. it will be Brazil Vs. Canada.

On March 25, another doubleheader, Russia and Canada will compete at 6 p.m. and Serbia will take on Brazil at 7:30 p.m.

March 26 will be the quarterfinals at 7:30 p.m.

Chicago is hosting the semifinals and finals March 28 and 29.

Countries participating in the games are the United States, El Salvador, Czech Republic, Kazakhstan, Mexico, Romania, India, Germany, Canada, Russia, Serbia, and Brazil.

Torrey said he likes the idea that Flint will be a focal point for world cup arena soccer.

“We are both proud and excited to know that they eyes of the world will be on our community,” Torrey said.
