Senior Donald Martin led the cross country at the Metro League Championship, which was Wednesday, Oct. 18, at Linden.

The boys cross country placed ninth at the Metro League Championship on Wednesday, Oct. 18, in Linden.

The top teams were Fenton (38 points), Linden (56), and Holly (87).

The Hornets scored 214 points.

Kearsley’s top five runners were senior Donald Martin, sophomore Raydoffa Braziel, sophomore Justice Sutcliffe, freshman Bailey Palmer, and senior Kyle Polka.

Martin led the Hornets, placing 29th and finishing in 18:30.

Braziel placed 36th in 18:52, Sutcliffe was 46th in 19:32, and Palmer placed 51st with a time of 19:59.

Palka was the final scorer for the Hornets. He placed 52nd in 20:03.

The girls team did not meet the minimum number of runners and could not score.

The Hornet’s top runner was senior Brooklyn Dever placing, 47th in 24:54.
