The American Music Awards honor the biggest artists of today

The American Music Awards took place on Sunday, Nov. 22.

We all have that one artist or band that we absolutely love, and when it comes time for the American Music Awards we just want them to win everything.

If you missed the awards on Sunday, Nov. 22, here is a breakdown.

The night started off with Jennifer Lopez singing and dancing to a medley that included a slow version of her song “Waiting for Tonight” and Nicki Minaj’s “Anaconda.”

The night also included performances from Celine Dion, who sang in French in honor of France,  Justin Bieber, One Direction, 5 Seconds of Summer, Demi Lovato, and Gwen Stefani.
