Swim team defeated by Brandon

Senior Halley Huber placed first in the 100 butterfly.

The girls’ swim team lost to the Brandon Blackhawks 105-78 on Thursday, Oct. 22.

Placing first was the 200-yard medley relay, with a time of 2:14.40.

The relay consisted of juniors Aubrey Scott, Ave’r McKay, Brittany Williams, and senior Halley Huber.

Freshman Claudia Moore placed first in the 100 freestyle with a time of 1:06.80.

The 200-freestyle relay also received first with a time of 2:00.24.

The winning team consisted of Huber, McKay, Moore, and Scott.

Huber also placed first in the 100 butterfly, swimming it in 1:13.22.

“We came together in the first half. We went in hard and won our relays,” Huber said. “There was a little struggle near the end, but it was a good hard meet for our last away meet.”

The team’s next meet will be Tuesday, Oct. 27, against Holly.
