Swartz Creek-Flushing swims past the Hornets

The swim team lost its meet against Swartz Creek-Flushing 103-81 on Thursday, Oct. 15.

The 200-yard freestyle relay placed first with a time of 1:56:35.

The team included senior Halley Huber, freshman Claudia Moore, junior Aubrey Scott, and junior Ave’r McKay.

The Hornets also finished first and second in the 400 freestyle relay.

The winning relay team was Moore, senior Claire Zuwala, McKay, and junior Rebecca Moyer.

Scott also placed first in the 200 individual medley and second in the 100 freestyle.

“I feel good because I dropped time in my 200 IM and got first, and dropped time in my 100 free and got second,” Scott said.

She said the team was supportive of one another.

Placing second was the 200 medley relay, which consisted of Scott, junior Brittany Williams, Huber, and McKay.

The swim team’s next meet will be Thursday, Oct. 22, at Brandon.
