Zedd leads a list of fall concerts in Michigan

Concerts are a universal means of entertainment.

Many people love the joy of getting to see their favorite artist live and hear the songs they love.

Upcoming concerts include artists such as Zedd, The Weeknd, Luke Bryan, and MisterWives.

Zedd is coming to the Deltaplex in Grand Rapids Thursday, Oct. 22, at 6:30 p.m., then the Masonic Temple Theatre in Detroit the next day at 8:30 p.m.

Zedd is a Russian-German producer and DJ with commonly-known songs such as “Clarity” featuring Foxes, “I Want You To Know,” featuring Selena Gomez, and “Break Free,” featuring Ariana Grande.

Another concert in Michigan is a performance by Smallpools, which is Friday, Oct. 3

The concert takes place at 6 p.m. at Saint Andrews Hall in Detroit.

Smallpools is an indie-pop band of four members with popular songs like “Over and Over,” “Dreaming,” and “American Love.”

The Front Bottoms are coming to the Majestic Theatre in Detroit on Wednesday, Oct. 28. The indie-rock band’s latest album, Back on Top, features songs such as “Help,” “Motorcycle,” and “Cough it Out.”

On Friday, Oct. 30, Luke Bryan is coming to Ford Field in Detroit for his Kick the Dust Up Tour, with special guests Dierks Bentley, Randy Houser, and Dustin Lynch.

MisterWives and Waters will be having a concert at The Fillmore in Detroit on Monday, Nov. 2. MisterWives’ latest album, Our Own House, features songs like “Vagabond,” “Reflections,” “Coffins,” and “Hurricane.” Waters will be performing songs from their latest album, What’s Real.

For pop-punk and rock fans, All Time Low is coming to the Eastern Michigan University Convocation Center in Ypsilanti on Friday, Nov. 6, with Sleeping Sirens as their opening act. The bands also are performing at the Deltaplex on Friday, Nov. 13.

Big Sean will be returning to his hometown — Detroit — on Friday, Nov. 6, at the Joe Louis Arena. With songs such as “One Man Can Change the World,” “Clique,” and “Blessings,” the concert is bound to be big.

Coming to The Palace of Auburn Hills on Saturday, Nov. 7, is The Weeknd. The arena, holding up to 23,000, will feature The Weeknd’s songs like “Can’t Feel My Face,” “The Hills,” and “Earned It.”

The Fillmore will host Rise Against in their promotional tour for its new album The Black Market on Sunday, Nov. 8. The event will also feature Killswitch Engage and Letlive, a metalcore band and a post-hardcore band.

Vanessa Carlton is coming to the Blind Pig in Ann Arbor on Friday, Nov. 13. Carlton’s most popular song, 2001 hit “A Thousand Miles,” was an anthem and late ’90s kids grew up listening to it on the radio practically daily.

Coming to the James W. Miller Auditorium in Kalamazoo on Sunday, Nov. 14, are country artists Chris Young, Eric Paslay, and Clare Dunn.  Young has songs such as “Who I Am With You” and “I’m Comin’ Over.”

Ryn Weaver will perform at the Magic Bag in Ferndale on Monday, Nov. 15. Weaver is an American indie-pop singer whose most popular songs include “Octahate” and “Runaway.”

Finally, Miley Cyrus is coming to The Fillmore on Saturday, Nov. 21. Cyrus’ latest album, available free on SoundCloud, Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz, features 23 songs, including her VMA performance hit, “Dooo It!.”
