Tennis falls to Clio

The tennis team lost against the Clio Mustangs 8-0 on Tuesday, Sept. 22.

Senior Jacob DePottey, No. 2 singles, won a game during the first set, but lost with a final match score of 6-1, 6-0.

At No. 3 singles, senior Lance Blight lost his match but won two games in the second set, 6-0, 6-2.

The No. 2 doubles team of sophomores Adam Sefa and Jacob Jackson lost their match 6-2, 6-1.

Sophomore Meteo Booth and senior Tyler Frasher, No. 3 doubles, won a total of four games, but lost their match 6-1, 6-3.

The No. 4 doubles team of freshmen Dalton Roberts and Kristopher Perry also lost, with a final match score of 6-2, 6-4.

Walters was proud “of the team’s performance” at the match.

“We (the tennis team and I) are all starting to improve a lot,” Walters said. “Hopefully, the improvement continues.”

The team’s next match is Thursday, Sept. 24, at Holly.
