Flushing outscores soccer team on senior night
The soccer team fell to Flushing 4-2 on senior night, Monday, Sept. 21.
Senior Brevin Dias led the attack for the Hornets.
Dias helped put his team on the board shortly after halftime, sending a pass to sophomore Andy Ruhstorpher that was knocked into the net.
To go along with the assist, Dias scored on a pass from junior Zach Elizondo with a few minutes left in the game.
Dias, along with teammates Alex Black, Jacob Moore, Ben Molter, Aaron Ruhstorpher, Jake Elizondo, and Travis Oaks were honored at halftime for the senior night ceremony.
Junior goalkeeper Tony Doolan had 15 saves but could not stop four Flushing shots from going in.
The Hornets, now 3-2 on the season and 0-2 in the Metro League, hope to rebound at Holly on Wednesday, Sept. 23.
