Tennis drops its match against Imlay City

Senior Tyler Frasher won his match by forfeit.

The Hornets lost to Imlay City 7-1 on Wednesday, Sept. 16.

Senior Lance Blight, No. 3 singles, played a close first set but lost 6-4, 6-1, and No. 4 singles junior Jacobi Wright played a close second set, losing 6-0, 6-4.

The No. 3 doubles team of sophomores Adam Sefa and Jacob Jackson won three games in their first set but lost the match 6-3, 6-0.

The No.4 doubles team of sophomore Meteo Booth and senior Tyler Frasher won their match due to a forfeit from the opposing team.

Junior Dante Schwartz and senior Josh Walters, No. 2 doubles, also won a game in their first set.

Frasher felt disappointed he won by a forfeit but was happy to watch his teammates play.

“Sometimes it is just nice to sit back and cheer on my team,” Frasher said.

The team’s next match is Thursday, Sept. 17, at Brandon.
