Hornets fall to Davison in tennis

Sophomore Adam Sefa lost his doubles match 4-6, 6-2, 10-7 with his partner sophomore Jacob Jackson.

The Hornets lost to the Davison Cardinals 8-0 at home Wednesday, Sept. 9, in tennis.

Senior Lance Blight, No. 3 singles, led the singles flights with winning games, but lost with scores of 6-3, 6-2..

All other singles players did not win any games.

The No. 2 doubles team of senior Tyler Frasher and junior Jacobi Wright won a game in the second set, losing with a final match score of 6-0, 6-1.

Freshmen Dalton Roberts and Kristopher Perry, No. 4 doubles, also won a game in their second set.

The No.3 doubles team of sophomores Adam Sefa and Jacob Jackson played a close match, losing in the third set, 4-6, 6-2, 10-7.

“It was a very close and intense game,” Sefa said. “Hopefully, next match we can snag a win.”
