Harriers lose their first jamboree

On Wednesday, Sept. 9, the boys’ and girls’ cross country team competed at the first Flint Metro League Jamboree at Brandon.

For the boys, Clio finished in first with a score of 40 points,  while Kearsley finished in eighth with 237.

In 55th, place sophomore Donald Martin ran a 20:45.3. Senior Branden Wade finished in 58th with a time of 21:13.3.

For the girls, Linden placed first with 43 points, and the Hornets placed eighth with 228.

The top two Kearsley girls were junior Alexis Kelly and senior Diane Bond.

Kelly ran a 25:45.4, placing 41st, and Bond finished in 25:48.4, placing 42nd.
