The wrestling team hosted a double-dual match opening its season with two victories.

Kearsley defeated Almont 70-6 and Imlay City 45-23 at home on Wednesday, Dec. 7.

Seniors who won both of their matches were Zach Elizondo, Dylan Tarrence, and Brandon Byczynski.

Two juniors were double winners. They were Andy Ruhstorfer and Malik Davis.

Finally, freshman LaRon Ruffin finished with two victories to begin his high school career.

The Hornets will compete again Saturday, Dec. 10, traveling to the Capac Invitational.
