The swim and dive team lost to Swartz Creek/Flushing 133-51 on Feb. 3.

Swartz Creek/Flushing took first place in all but one event.

Senior Brendan Evenson was the only Kearsley/Clio swimmer to win an event. Evenson took first in diving with 202.55 points.

This was Evenson’s fifth diving win in a dual meet, and he is now qualified for a Division 1 diving regional.

The 200-yard medley relay team of junior Trent Kehoe, freshman Noel Nowacki, senior Ryan Walker, and Evenson placed second in 1:56.13.

Two swimmers took third place in individual events.

Nowacki placed third in the 50 free with a time of 25.17, and Walker also was third with a time of 1:10.87 in the 100 fly.

The team’s next home meet is against Brandon on Feb. 12. The meet starts at 6 p.m.

Since it is the final home meet of the season, the seniors will be honored.
