Boys track takes third at Goodrich

The boys track and field team took third for small schools at the Goodrich Invitational on Friday, May 4.
Senior Tre’Ron Griffin took third in the 400-meter dash, running the event in 53.45 seconds.
Griffin also placed sixth in the 100 dash with a time of 12.67.
In the 800 run, sophomore Raydoffa Braziel finished second with a time of 2:10.66.
Braziel scored by placing fifth in the 1600 run, finishing in 5:04.27.
In the 300 hurdles, freshman Braylon Silvas set a personal record, taking third in 43.73 seconds.
Silvas placed fifth in the 110 high hurdles with a personal-best 17.31 finish.
He also took second in the long jump, leaping 18 feet, 5 inches.
The 800 relay team of Ashtyn Cohoon, Malik Davis, Eddie Harris, and Carlos Macedo placed sixth with a time of 1:43.80
In the 3200 relay, the team of Josh Bischoff, Alex Willers, Davis, and Braziel took second in 9:15.99.
Silvas, Davis, Braziel, and Griffin took fourth in the 1600 relay, finishing in 3:38.44.
Harris placed fourth in the shot put with a put of 42-03.5. Junior Dylan Bushur (39-06) took sixth.
The track team was successful in the discus, with Buschur (132-08) and Harris (125-07) taking first and third, respectively.
The team will face Swartz Creek and Linden on Wednesday, May 9.
