DECA prepares for upcoming competition

Distributive Education Clubs of America, or DECA, is an international association made up of high school and college students that are interested in a career in marketing, management, and entrepreneurship.
Students in DECA have been preparing for the district competition that will take place Dec. 19.
If you plan on going into the field of business, this is the organization for you.

Santino Guerra, junior and Chapter Officer for DECA, said he enjoys getting prepared for competitions.
Guerra said, “To prepare for events, we get fake scenarios and present them in front of a teacher to get used to competition.”
Guerra encourages students to participate in DECA.
“I would suggest for others to join DECA next year,” Guerra said. “If you plan on going into the field of business, this is the organization for you.”
