Future Careers Await for KHS Students

Future+Careers+Await+for+KHS+Students

Most people have a plan for what they want to do with the life that they have ahead of them. Some already know what their future career is going to be, while others may still be deciding. There are all kinds of careers out there to choose from and most choose a career that they take an interest in.

Sophomore, Madelynn Link, has already decided what she wants her future career to be. Link has decided that she wants to be a pilot because she loves to travel. She states, “I have traveled many times before and have learned about planes and it has always been interesting to me.”

Not everyone knows their future career plans. Link, on the other hand, has put together a plan of her own. She comments, “I plan to work hard in school and get into a college with an aviation program.”

Junior, Alejandra Kash, has already made the decision that she wants her future career to be, a veterinarian. Kash has interesting reasoning behind why she has chosen to be a veterinarian. She states, “I want to make a difference and add, or invest, in the science behind veterinary medicine.”

Kash has been working on a well-put-together plan to work her way to her planned career. “I plan to attend Genesee Career Institute, as well as hopefully attend University of Nebraska Lincoln or Michigan State University,” explained Kash. She has been working on putting together this plan for a while now and can’t wait to put it into action.

Senior, Bre’Azia Lee, plans on working her way to becoming a nurse as her future career. She wants to become a nurse because she loves to help people. Lee has already created a plan to help herself along the way to becoming a nurse. “I am going to college and then going to a nursing school,” she stated.

Some people are influenced by others or things that help them choose what career they want to pursue. “I was influenced by a coworker of mine. She was a nurse and was telling me about it and I felt like it was something I could see myself doing,” Bre’Azia exclaimed.

Link, Kash, and Lee have all chosen what they want their future careers to be, and are excited to finally be able to set their plans into motion and bring their dreams to life.
