Boys basketball beats Corunna

Kearsley boys basketball is bringing the ball up the court.

The boys basketball team took down Corunna on Kearsley’s home court, on Tuesday, Jan. 26.

It was a neck and neck the whole time, the halftime score was 26 to 26.

In the end, Kearsley came out on top with an impressive score of 51-49, managing to pull ahead by 2 points right at the end of the game.

Leading the team in scoring was senior Tyler Csintyan with an overall total of 17 points.

“I’m happy,” Csintyan said. “Winning is always an important aspect of playing any sport.”

Another big scorer of the night was sophomore Dylan Ruhstorfer with a total of 16 points.

“Winning felt amazing,” Ruhstoefer said. “While I could have scored more, I’m proud of myself and my team for pulling out this win.”

The boys are getting ready for their next opponents, Flushing on Friday, Jan. 28.
