Boys bowling is coming back strong and ready to fight.

As students worked tirelessly during grueling exams, the boys bowling team battled it out in a Metro League match against Brandon and participated in the Flint Metro Conference Championship Tournament.

Freshman Howie Hammond and sophomore Gage Slagor showed their true talents in both events.

The Hornets demolished the Blackhawks in a 21-9 match at B’s Bowling Thursday, Jan. 16.

Hammond and Slagor led the team with high scores of 255 and 224, respectively.

Despite the victory, Hammond believes that there are still things for the team to work on.

“We need to work on our confidence and attitude as a team,” Hammond said.
