The quiz bowl team competed against Flushing, Lapeer, and Owosso high schools during its meet on Wednesday, March 6.

The team is now 6-1 in the Metro League.

Flushing

In their first match, the Hornets fell short to the Raiders with a score of 350-240.

Moyer said he is confident in his team’s abilities this year.

“I feel like the team we have is strong. Most of us have played since freshman year, so we have some experience that helps us.”

Lapeer

In their match against Lapeer, the Hornets were behind, with Lapeer having a two-question lead.

In the last few seconds, the Hornets pulled through and were able to win with a score of 205-180.

Owosso

During the team’s last match against Owosso, Moyer and junior Connor Earegood led the team to victory.
