SAT prep offered to juniors
The SAT is coming up fast for juniors and many options are available to students to help them study.
Mr. Chris Torok, math teacher, said students share a common weakness when taking the SAT.
“Students need to get better at reading for information,” Torok said.
Some of the KHS staff will be holding SAT prep classes after school to give students the extra help they need.
Torok insists students should practice to make the test a little easier.
“The more practice options completed will allow the student to be better prepared at any type of problem,” Torok said.
The courses will be held for two hours after school every Wednesday from March 6 to April 3 from 2:30 to 4:30:
- March 6 — Math (not using a calculator)
- March 13 — English
- March 20 — Reading
- April 3 — Math (using a calculator)
For math nights, students in trigonometry and pre-calculus report to Room 407. Students in Algebra 2 go to Room 406, and students who take any other math course should go to Room 601.
For English, students whose last names are from A-M should attend in Room 118, while N-Z report to Room 112.
Finally, reading night has students in three different rooms: Last names A-H in Room 411, I-P in Room 409, and Q-Z in Room 412.
Free pizza and beverages will be available to everyone who attends.
