SAT testing, student schedules vary on Tuesday, Wednesday

The SAT testing schedules are different for each grade.

With the SAT and PSAT this week, the weekly schedule at KHS is crazy.

If you are someone who has no idea what is going on, here is a quick brief on the schedule for the week.

Tuesday, April 12

Freshmen and sophomores will be taking the PSAT from 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.

The juniors will take the SAT from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Students should get a good night’s sleep and eat a good breakfast before their tests.

The school will serve juniors breakfast at 7:15 a.m.

Calculators will not be provided. Students must bring their own.

Administration recommends students should get to school about 15 minutes early. Absolutely no late students will be allowed to test.

If students bring their cellphones to school, they must leave them in their lockers.

Students also need to have No. 2 pencils only. Mechanical pencils are not allowed.

Seniors have the day off – enjoy.

Buses will run normally in the morning.

The buses will take the freshmen and sophomores home at 11 a.m.

The buses will return to school to take the juniors home at 12:30 p.m.

Wednesday, April 13

Only juniors are to report to school in the morning for testing.

Buses will bring the juniors to school in the morning.

Juniors will take the ACT WorkKeys from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m.

They will have lunch from 10:30 to 11 a.m.

The rest of the school has a late start.

The buses will drop off the freshmen, sophomores, and seniors at school by 11:15 a.m.

Students who have a late start need to eat before coming to school. Lunch will only be for juniors.

Wednesday classes will follow a half-day schedule:

1st hour: 11:20-11:45

2nd hour: 11:50 – 12:15

3rd hour: 12:20 – 12:45

4th hour: 12:50 to 1:15

5th hour: 1:20 to 1:45

6th hour: 1:50 – 2:20

The first five hours are 25 minutes long while sixth hour is 30 minutes long.
