Salutatorian Dylan Brewer addresses the Class of 2015 during Kearsley’s commencement on June 6 at The Whiting.

Kearsley’s 75th commencement turned 259 seniors into alumni on June 6 at The Whiting.

The Class of 2015 was first addressed by Kearsley Hall of Fame honoree Ms. Bette McCrandall.

McCrandall, a Kearsley alumna, told the graduates about her experience teaching in war-torn Liberia and wanted the graduates to understand that the opportunities available to them in America, compared to others in the world, are immense.

The salutatorian, Dylan Brewer, also spoke to the Class of 2015.

Brewer reminded the students of the classes they had taken throughout their educations at Kearsley. He said he was proud to be a Kearsley graduate and that everything he learned will benefit him later in his life.

Brewer thanked his teachers for their work in developing his education and reminded his classmates that if they want something they have to do the work to get it.
