Quiz bowl improved its record in its Wednesday meet.
The quiz bowl team maintained its perfect record at this week’s meet in Clio Wednesday, Feb. 12.
In their first match of the day against Linden, the Hornets won 440-160.
Senior Connor Earegood correctly answered 12 questions between the first and third rounds.
The Hornets scored ten bonuses altogether.
In the lightning round, the Hornets scored eight out of 10 while Linden scored seven.
The Hornets received a bye and didn’t have to compete in their second match.
In their third match against Corunna the Hornets won 555-95.
The Hornets won the worksheet round 8-1.
They scored 14 bonuses throughout the first and third rounds.
Earegood and seniors Chris Moyer and Cameron Gohs led the way during the terrific match.
The team will compete for Metro League glory Wednesday, Feb. 19. The Hornets will look to win the Metro League tournament Wednesday, March 4.
The team will compete in the Michigan High School State Championship March 28.
