Ms. Megan Wolf (l to r), Ms. Erica Brand, Ms. Andrea Rossi, and Ms. Stephanie Wambold lead the Youth Advisory Council. Students who want to join YAC must fill out a registration form by Wednesday, Oct. 2.

The Regional Alliance for Healthy Schools clinic opened up its Youth Advisory Council to new members for the 2019-20 school year.

Ms. Stephanie Wambold, one of YAC’s leaders, hopes 10 to 15 new members join.

Wambold said YAC makes communities and schools aware of health news.

“I feel that it brings awareness to important health related topics that impact the student body,” Wambold said.

YAC brings together students who are passionate about making a positive impact on their school in relation to health and wellness.

YAC meets once or twice each month.

The group hosts school functions, completes service projects, and teaches students leadership skills.

RAHS, the clinic that organizes YAC, provides school-based health programs and clinical services to help students, families, and the community.

Prospective members can visit the clinic to fill out a registration form to join the group.

Forms are due Wednesday, Oct. 2.
