Students to receive mid-year honors awards

Mid-year honors convocation will be March 2.

The 9th- and 10th-grade classes will go first at 5:30 p.m.

The 11th- and 12th-grade classes will go at 7 p.m.

Awards range from outstanding attendance to awards for individual classes, and there are awards for high GPAs.

Sophomores will receive their academic letter along with their awards.

Juniors and seniors with a 3.0 or higher GPA will receive a gold bar for their academic letter and an award for academic achievement.

In addition, class awards are given to one student in each class chosen by the teacher.

Senior Zach Groulx is receiving the retail award.

Groulx said, “I’m excited. I feel honored to get the award because I worked hard for it.”

This is Groulx’s first mid-year honor award ceremony, but he is not nervous.

All students walk across the stage in the auditorium to receive their awards.
