Sophomore Braylon Silvas led the Hornets on Tuesday, Dec. 18. The boys basketball team lost to Holly.

The boys basketball team lost a close game to Holly at home Tuesday, Dec. 18.

The Hornets played a strong game but fell short 56-52.

Sophomore Braylon Silvas led the team with 15 points.

Following close behind was senior Saif Dawan, scoring 13 points.

Senior Trevor Shaheen also chipped in 10 points.

Despite having the highest points for the Hornets, Silvas was disappointed in the performance of his team.

“I don’t think we played well,” Silvas said. “We didn’t play like we did last week.”

He also commented that he thinks his team lacked effort.

“I tried to get the team going, but they weren’t buying it,” Silvas said.

Kearsley is 3-2 overall, 1-2 league.

The Hornets face Imlay City in a home game Thursday, Dec. 20.
