Hockey crushes the Lightning

United played Lapeer on Wednesday, Feb. 7, winning 11-4.

The team includes players from Kearsley, Brandon, Holly, and Lake Fenton.

The team roared during all three periods, led by Kearsley and Lake Fenton seniors Dru Sweers and Drew Hobson.

Sweers had two goals and four assists and Hobson had three goals and three assists. The hat trick was Hobson’s first of the season.

Holly freshman Colby Polutanovich scored two goals and two assists, tying his record for the season.

Holly senior Logan Henry also scored two goals and two assists, his most this season.

Macgregor Hepburn, a Lake Fenton freshman, continued a three-game point streak with two assists.

Lake Fenton seniors Lochlan Hepburn, Alec Copeland, and Aidan Flick each scored a point in the game.

Trevor Keller, a Kearsley junior assisted on a goal.

Kearsley junior Tyler Keller posted an .826 save percentage, continuing a streak of great goaltending.

The team improved to 8-9, with one overtime loss.
