These juniors accomplished a great deal this year

Most juniors will probably agree that it’s been a stressful school year.

Keeping grades up, maintaining a job, and excelling in extracurricular activities were all things these juniors were able to accomplish through this long school year.

Five juniors share their achievements from the past year.

Connie Stein

What was your biggest accomplishment of the year and how was it achieved?

“My biggest accomplishment was passing my English exam with an A,” Stein said. “I achieved this by studying the review and reading the books that were assigned.”

What goals would you like to reach for next year?

“I would like to prepare myself more and pass all of my exams with A’s and B’s.”

Why is this your goal? How do you plan on reaching your new goal?

“I want to (reach my goal) just so I can feel like I was successful. I plan on paying attention all semesters and completing exam reviews.”

Caitlyn Link

What was your biggest accomplishment of the year and how was it achieved?

“My biggest accomplishment of the year was maintaining my chemistry grade,” Link said. “I’ve kept my grade around an A or B. I achieved this by turning in all my homework and studying.”

What goals would you like to reach for next year?

“Next year I would like to get all A’s and B’s and not miss any school.”

Why is this your goal? How do you plan on reaching your new goal?

“I’d like to keep focused on school and graduating, not slack off, or miss school. I want to prove to myself and my family that I can do what I set my mind to.”

Kaitlyn Hart

What was your biggest accomplishment of the year and how was it achieved?

“I took second place at skills USA state level,” Hart said. “I used Adobe Photoshop with my group to develop a promotional  bulletin board. We took first at regional level to move up to state.”

What goals would you like to reach for next year?

“(I want) to take first at state and compete at national level.”

Why is this your goal? How do you plan on reaching your new goal?

“(I want) to keep working on my graphic design skills. It gives me experience working with a group to make (and complete) a deadline.”

Chase Lang

What was your biggest accomplishment of the year and how was it achieved? 

“Raising my GPA up,” Lang said. “I achieved this by working hard, focusing in class, and not being influenced by friends or people around me.”

What goals would you like to reach for next year?

“I would really like to raise my GPA above a 3.0. I’d also like to have some money saved before I graduate.”

Why is this your goal? How do you plan on reaching your new goal?

“I can accomplish both of these by working hard. I can take pride in working hard. It’s gonna feel great when I meet my goal.”

Matt Turner

What was your biggest accomplishment of the year and how was it achieved?

“I obtained my first job,” Turner said. “I had strong perseverance in my job search and landed upon a job at Burger King.”

What goals would you like to reach for next year?

“(I want to) get accepted into college, obtain a raise, and purchase a newer, safer car.”

Why is this your goal? How do you plan on reaching your new goal?

“(I will) work hard on my studies, excel at my workplace, and save money to put towards a car.”
