Bay City Western Baker’s Dozen

The girls bowling team finished in second at the Bay City Western Baker’s Dozen at Monitor Lanes on Sunday, Dec. 18.

The Hornets were incredible in the qualifying rounds, going 13-0 against 13 different schools.

Kearsley’s 13-game total was 2,866 for 13 Baker games, an incredible 220 average.

Because of this, the team received 20 bonus pins for each win and, without the bonus pins, they still averaged 200 for 13 games.

But the Hornets had a hard time closing in the final match.

In the finals against Davison, the Hornets had a few opportunities to win.

But they lost the first game 193-179 and then lost the second game 221-213.

Kearsley’s next match is Tuesday, Dec. 20, at Holly Lanes against Swartz Creek.
