Boys bowling won the Bangor John Glenn Tournament on Saturday, Dec. 17.

The team qualified as the fourth seed at Monitor Lanes in Bay City, matching up with Owosso for their first match.

Senior Brandon Wheeler said that their performance was good.

“We bowled very well,” Wheeler said. “We worked together as a team to bring home the win.”

After knocking off Owosso, the Hornets blasted through Oscoda, Bay City Bangor John Glenn, and Davison to bring home the victory.

Wheeler said that the team got tired at the end of the day.

“We got a little fatigued and missed some spares,” Wheeler said. “But, overall, we did pretty good.”

The Hornets compete next at Holly Lanes on Tuesday, Dec. 20, against Swartz Creek.
