Kagerer crowned powder puff king, court represents seniors well

The Class of 2017’s powder puff court consists of five seniors: Neil Kagerer, Dante Schwartz, Igor Perez, Frank Sproule, and Chandler Ford.

Kagerer was announced as powder puff king at the powder puff semifinal games, Monday, October 3.

Neil Kagerer

Kagerer is 17 years old. His mother is Mrs. Carrie Arwood and his father is Mr. James Arquette. Kagerer’s has two older brothers and one twin sister, Nina Kagerer.

He enjoys singing and is a member of the after-school choir group Melody Makers, He also participates in the school plays.

Kagerer was excited to make powder puff court.

“It made me feel like I was well-known,” Kagerer said.

He was escorted by his twin sister Nina at the pep assembly.

Not only was Kagerer voted on to court, he was voted powder puff king by the students.

Rylee Brown

Brown is 17 years old and lives with his mother Ms. Katie Brown, grandfather Mr. Rick Douglas, and his younger sister, who is on homecoming court, junior Jada Brown.

Brown plays football, basketball, and runs track.

On the field, he is a defensive back, a wide receiver, and a long snapper.

On the court, he is a point guard.

When he is not practicing, he works at Panera Bread.

Making powder puff court makes Brown feel loved.

“I love Kearsley,” Brown said. “I feel honored.”

Brown was escorted by his girlfriend, junior Hailey Kidd.

Chandler Ford

Ford is 17 years old and lives with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Scott and Becky Ford.

He also has two brothers, Tyler and Jacob.

Ford plays basketball and football.

He is the quarterback on the football team and a shooting guard on the basketball team.

He has also been a captain on both teams for two years.

Ford is happy to represent his class.

“I am honored that I was chosen to represent the school in a positive way,” Ford said.

Ford was escorted by senior Brandi Morgan at the pep assembly.

Igor Perez

Igor Perez, senior

Perez is a 17-year-old foreign exchange student from Brazil.

He is currently living with Mr. and Mrs. Joshua and Juanita Cooper and their three other children.

However, back in Brazil, he has a mother, Luciana; a father, Gustavo; and a younger brother, Henrique.

Perez plays on the soccer team.

Making court was unlike any school experience Perez has ever had.

“It was fun,” Perez said. “We don’t have this in Brazil, so it is different for me.”

He was escorted by Alexis Allen in the pep assembly.

Dante Schwartz

Schwartz is 17 years old and lives with his parents Mr. and Mrs. Shane and Michelle Schwartz, as well as his twin sister Alexis Schwartz.

He also has two older sisters as well, Sarah and Paige Wheeler.

Schwartz is on the tennis team.

He is also the vice president of Student Council.

Outside of Kearsley, Schwartz works at McDonald’s.

Schwartz was escorted by his girlfriend Morgan Stephen at the pep rally.

Frank Sproule

Frank Sproule, senior

Sproule is 17. His father is Mr. Rob Sproule, and his mother is Ms. Kelli Scott.

He is a student-athlete and has been playing football since he was young.

Football is his favorite sport. Sproule said he knew that he enjoyed the game since he began playing it.

“I am happy people voted for me,” Sproule said.

Sproule was escorted by senior Cami Clarambeau.
