The high school will host cheer tryouts on Sunday, June 5, for the 2016 fall football season.

Cheerleading will host tryouts for AMS and KHS on Sunday, June 5 at 2:30 p.m. on the sports deck at the high school.

There will be an informational meeting for all interested students and their parents on Friday, May 20, after school in the cafeteria.

There will also be two clinics hosted on Friday, June 3, from 3 to 5 p.m. and one on Sunday, June 5, starting at 1 p.m. until tryouts begin.

At the clinic, participants will practice cheers, tumbling, jumps, and a few other things needed for the tryout.

No experience is needed and current cheerleaders, including junior Madii Chapman, ask for participants to encourage others to try out, too.

“Being on the cheerleading team has been a lot of fun” Chapman said. “Everyone should consider trying out, even if they have no experience.”
